How can I use the same email address to sign in to all of my Harvest accounts?

When you use the same email address to sign in to all of your Harvest accounts, you can easily switch between them. Otherwise, you’ll need to sign out of one account to sign in to another or use different browsers to stay signed in to these accounts at the same time.

Note: The data in each Harvest account will still remain separate, even when you have the same email address on file.

Things to keep in mind:

  • It’s not possible to update your own email address to one that’s already in use on another Harvest or Forecast account. Instead, you’ll need to ask an account Administrator (in Harvest) or a person with View and Edit permissions (in Forecast) to update your email address for you. 
  • If you’re the Account Owner in Harvest, it’s not possible to update your own email address to one that’s already in use or for an account Administrator to update your email address for you. Please contact us with the request to update your email address.
  • If you’re the only account Administrator in Harvest or the only person with View and Edit permissions in Forecast, please contact us with the request to update your email address.

In Harvest

As long as you’re not the Account Owner, any Administrator can update your email address to the one you want to use. Please send these instructions to the person who will update your email address:

  1. Go to Team.
  2. Click the person’s Actions dropdown and select Edit.
  3. Go to their Basic Info (left menu).
  4. Update their Email, then click Update Info.

An invitation will be sent to the new email address. Make sure you sign out of all of your Harvest and Forecast accounts before following the link in the invitation. Once the invitation is accepted, the account will be under the same Harvest ID. Repeat this process as needed in other Harvest accounts.

In Forecast

Anyone with View and Edit permissions can update your email address to the one you want to use. Please send these instructions to the person who will update your email address:

  1. Click the dropdown menu next to your company name and select Team.
  2. Click on the person whose address you want to update.
  3. Uncheck the This person can sign in… box and then click Update Person.
  4. Click on the person again.
  5. Update their Email, check the Invite this person… box, and make sure their permissions are correct.
  6. Click Update Person.

An invitation will be sent to the new email address. Make sure you sign out of all of your Harvest and Forecast accounts before following the link in the invitation. Once the invitation is accepted, the account will now be under the same Harvest ID. Repeat this process as needed in other Forecast accounts.
