Previously, if you wanted to export time data from Harvest, the only default option was the detailed time report. While detailed reports are valuable for in-depth analysis, they require some work for higher level analysis and reporting. Read more on detailed time and reports.

This is why we elected to introduce a second option called the Simple export, which allows you to download the tables shown within:

•  Reports > Time > Export > Export Simple
• Available for Team, Projects, Clients and Tasks views.

What information is included?

Simple exports include everything shown in the tables visible within reporting, as well as a couple other useful metrics: 

Team: Employee ID, Employee name, Roles, Hours, Utilization, Billable hours, Non-billable hours.

Projects: Project name, Client, Hours, Billable hours, Non-billable hours.

Clients: Client name, Hours, Billable hours, Billable amount

Tasks: Task name, Hours, Billable hours
