Creating a time entry: sorting projects & tasks

Businesses in Harvest often have hundreds of active projects and tasks, which can make creating time entries tedious when you need to scroll through all of them to find the correct ones for your entry. 

To help speed up this process, Harvest offers the following sorting options for project and task lists:

  • Most used (over the last 30 days)
  • Most recently used
  • A to Z
  • Z to A

Sorting choices can be configured via the icon to the right of the search bar when selecting a project or task within a time entry. Once selected, this sorting option will be saved for future time entries to reduce manual work for each instance. If you wish to change your sorting option, simply click on the icon, select a different option, and click away. This will save your selection thereafter.
