How the Premium free access period works

How long is the Premium free access period?

The Premium free access period is 30 days. This is counted from the date we gave your account access, regardless of when you first sign in to your account and start using the features. You can see how many days you have remaining in your navigation bar.

Why can’t I try out SAML single sign-on during the Premium free access period?

SAML is available for paid Premium accounts only. There’s a more advanced technical setup, and if you ultimately decide not to upgrade to Premium, losing access to this feature requires extra steps to be taken, which can be disruptive to the people in your account.

I’m on a Legacy plan and already had some of these features in my account. What’s the difference between that and this Premium free access period?

Some Legacy accounts have had features that are otherwise only available on Premium. In most cases, this is because they helped beta test the feature and had continued access to it for the time being as a thank-you for their valuable feedback.

If you have one of these accounts and choose not to upgrade to Premium by the end of the free access period, your account will revert to the standard Legacy feature set, without the additional Premium features.

Can I turn off the Premium free access period?

If you know that you won't use the additional Premium features and would prefer to turn them off, head to your Settings and click Disable Premium. Although you'll still see the names of the Premium features in your navigation bar, the features themselves will no longer be active for anyone in your account.

Upgrading to Premium

Where can I learn more about your new pricing?

Our pricing page has all the details about our new pricing plans, including FAQs and information about the discounts we offer.

You can also learn more in our Help Center article about pricing plans.

Note that from your Legacy plan, you’ll only be able to upgrade to our new Premium tier. You won’t have the option to switch from a Legacy plan to the new version of our Pro tier, since your current plan has more features.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

At any time during or after the free access period, go to your Settings and click Upgrade now, then complete the process. You may be asked to re-enter your billing information, since for some customers upgrading will also mean switching to our new billing system.

Please note the following:

  • Upon upgrading, your payment method will be charged a prorated amount reflecting the difference between your Legacy pricing and Premium pricing for the time remaining in your current billing period.
  • Upgrading, including the prorated charge, is effective immediately, even if there’s time remaining in the free access period.

What about my subscription will and won’t change when I upgrade?

Besides keeping the new Premium features and paying Premium pricing, here are some things to keep in mind regarding what will and won’t change when you upgrade to a paid Premium plan:

  • Your renewal date won’t change.
  • If you have a nonprofit, educational, or volume discount, that will automatically carry over.
  • The system we use to process your payments might change.

Can we upgrade just some teammates in the account to Premium?

No. If you choose to upgrade to Premium, the new pricing will apply to all of the paid seats in your account.

While some features—like activity log, require notes, and SAML-based SSO—are managed by Administrators, they're used by the whole team and help improve visibility, accountability, and security across your organization.

Remaining on your Legacy plan after the Premium free access period

What happens to my account if I don’t upgrade to Premium? Will anything change?

If you choose to remain on your Legacy plan at the end of the Premium free access period, your account will essentially revert back to what it was. Your pricing, features, and integrations will all remain the same as they were before the free access period.

The only exception here is if your account had early access to any Premium features before the free access period, in which case it will revert to the standard Legacy feature set, without the additional Premium features. All other features and integrations, along with your pricing, will remain the same.

There are two differences all accounts remaining on a Legacy plan will continue to see:

  • The Premium feature names in the account navigation and settings (with a Premium icon to indicate that they’re not currently available in your account)
  • The option to upgrade to Premium when you go to Change plan in Settings > Billing
