Accepting and declining estimates

This article is for Administrators and some Managers. Learn more about permissions. If you’re a Member, check out our Member resources.

Administrators and Managers with special permission can record whether clients accept or decline estimates, and create invoices from accepted estimates.

Accepting or declining estimates

If you send your estimates from Harvest, clients can automatically accept or decline an estimate by clicking Accepted or Declined on the Web Estimate. If you do not send estimates via Harvest, you can record this manually.

Manually marking as estimate as accepted

  1. Go to Estimates > Overview, and click into the estimate that you’d like to update.
  2. Click Accepted or Declined.

Changing the status of an estimate

You can update the status of an estimate if it is recorded incorrectly.

  1. Go to Estimates > Overview, and click into the estimate which you’d like to change.
  2. Under Actions, click Revert status.

Creating an invoice from an estimate

Once an estimate is accepted, you can convert it into an invoice. Administrators can always convert estimates into an invoice, but Managers need special permission to access estimates and special permission to create invoices to be able to create an invoice from an estimate.

  1. Go to Estimates > Overview, and click into the estimate you’d like to convert to an invoice.
  2. Click New invoice.
