Version 1 billing: Updating your payment method or billing details

Administrators in Harvest can manage most billing-related updates in the account's Settings section. Here you can update your billing method, change your subscription type, update billing details such as your card on file, billing address, and receipt/invoice recipients, and access all of the receipts for your Harvest subscription. 

Note that updating some billing details will prompt your card to go through a flow with our payment processor. During this flow, you'll see the full total for your subscription amount displayed, but you won't be charged again for your subscription until your next billing date. 

Changing your billing method (credit card or invoice)

Any Administrator can change the billing method for their account by going to Settings (top right) and clicking Billing in the left sidebar. Harvest offers the following payment methods:

  • Credit card—available for all accounts.
  • Check or wire transfer via an invoice—available for accounts with 10+ people paying yearly.

Switch from paying via credit card to paying via invoice

Accounts with 10 or more seats on a yearly subscription can request an invoiced subscription, which allows you to pay for your Harvest subscription via check or bank transfer. If you're currently paying yearly for 10+ seats

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser.
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Payment method area, click the Pay by check button.
  4. On the next page, fill in your billing and email addresses.
  5. Click Send invoice.

If you're currently paying monthly for 10+ seats

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser.
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Subscription plan area, click the Pay yearly button.
  4. Select the Request an invoice… link at the bottom left of the checkout page.
  5. On the next page, fill in your billing and email addresses.
  6. Click Send invoice.

Switch from paying via invoice to paying via credit card

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser.
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Payment method area, click the Pay by credit card link.
  4. On the next page, fill in your billing address and credit card details. 
  5. Click Charge credit card.

Changing your subscription type (yearly or monthly)

Switch from paying monthly to paying yearly

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser.
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Subscription plan area, click the Pay yearly button.
  4. After reviewing the yearly payment details, click Charge credit card

Switch from paying yearly to paying monthly

If you currently pay yearly and would like to switch to monthly billing, please contact Harvest support within 30 days of your upcoming renewal date. We'll be happy to help convert your account from a yearly subscription to a monthly subscription. 

Switch to the free plan

Updating your billing info

Any Administrator can update an account’s billing address, credit card, and receipt/invoice recipients (depending on how you pay) from the Billing tab of your Settings.

Note that updating your billing details will prompt your card to go through a flow with our payment processor. During this flow, you'll see the full total for your subscription amount displayed, but you won't be charged again for your subscription until your next billing date. 

Update your credit card on file

If you pay by credit card and want to update your card on file:

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser. 
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Payment method area, click the Update credit card button to edit the credit card and billing address details.
  4. Click Save credit card after making any changes.

Paying by credit card

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser. 
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Payment method area, click the Update credit card button to edit the credit card and billing address details.
  4. Click Save credit card after making any changes.

Paying by invoice

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser.
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the Update billing address button to edit the address that appears on your invoice from Harvest. 
    • Note that the name that appears on the invoice is your company name as set in Settings > Preferences > Company name.
  4. Enter your new address and click Save billing address

Harvest receipts and invoices

If you pay for Harvest by credit card, you’ll receive an emailed receipt for each payment. Yearly accounts with 10+ seats that choose to pay by invoice will receive those via email, as well.

Add additional information to receipts/invoices

Receipt and invoice recipients

Harvest receipts and invoices are sent to the Account Owner and anyone else specified as a receipt recipient. Administrators can add or remove receipt recipients by taking the following steps:

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser. 
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Receipt recipients area, click the Update recipients button.
  4. Click Save after making changes to the list.

Viewing past receipts 

Harvest receipts are emailed after successful payment and can also be viewed by Administrators at any time from within your account. To view your Harvest receipts:

  1. Sign in to Harvest in a web browser
  2. In your Settings (top right), click Billing in the left sidebar.
  3. In the Subscription plan area, click the See billing history link.
    • If you're on an invoiced subscription, invoices are not displayed in your account.
